Antivirus Program: Files the launcher downloads will randomly fail to download. Using Tachnic SSP if that makes any diff :)

Description of Problem:

Files the launcher downloads will randomly fail to download. Using Tachnic SSP if that makes any diff :)

Error Messages:

Sometimes it says download failed but most often it does no show anything and stays stalled doing nothing

Don't know why it did'nt put the AV info in there

AVG Free 2012 (Resident Shield disabled and .techniclauncher folder is ignored)

Windows Firewall disabled as well

AVG is bad about this. It's not just the .techniclauncher folder, it's also Java, etc. I'd just kill it while you're trying to install, and preferably make that death permanent and get a different AV.
