Freezes upon launch

Antivirus Program: Tesco's internet security

Description of Problem:

When i open the launcher, the checking version window opens, then closes. Afterwards, the swirly loading box appears before the Technic launcher logo appears and freezes there, I left it for a long time and the launcher still didn't open

This is likely to be an antivirus issue. Either add an exception or permissions for the launcher, or disable/uninstall your AV.
