Help. Im Dumb.

im dumb sorry. im kinda new to the whole Tekkit Server thing. ive downloaded the latest version of the tekkit server folder (3.0.4). but how exactly do I run the server? if i run Tekkit.jar nothing happens. This is probably a really dumb question and im just dumb. if my OS matters, i have Windows XP and using Hamachi. Thank you for the help.

i did run it but still nothing happens. can you give me steps?

If you run a batch file and "nothing happens" then your windows is completely broken. Something will happen, even if it's just a window flashing up for a second. Without knowing what that window says it's pretty hard to give you any useful instructions other than make sure you have Java 7 installed

i have this same problem, it will bring up the cmd and says press any button to continue if i let it sit it will do nothing if i hit something it closes and will not run a start up or anything

The "press any key" is the last thing the launch file does. It's so when you shut down the server the window doesn't auto close. The useful errors are whatever is in the command window before that
