Title: Can't connect - "Must have Forge Build #136+ (4096 fix) to connect to this server"

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: WIndows 7 64 bit home edition

Java Version: Java 7 update 5 64bit

Description of Problem:

I've been trying to set up a private Tekkit server for me and my little brother, and both of us get this issue when we try to connect to the server. I've tried redownloading Tekkit, clearing cache (as was suggested in a similar thread to this one - however, there were no other replies, suggestions, or even a post from the thread starter as to whether it worked), and redownloading the server itself.

Error Messages:

Disconnected by Server

Must have Forge Build #136+ (4096 fix) to connect to this server

Error Log:

Not sure where the error log for this sort of error would be... the server when we try to log in says:

And there's no log off message or disconnect message.

Me and a couple others have exactly the same issue, using a fresh install of both the server and the client. Tried all the same things you did, help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue as well. I have tried all of the same things that Lego_Hero and Castaras. I hope this can be resolved soon. I am excited to make the switch to Technic! Thank You. My information is identical. Same OS, Java Version and everything.

provided us with a solution!

Start up the Launcher and next to your login info click on Options, hit Manual Build Selection and scroll up to the latest version of Tekkit to update the client!
