Packs not launching

This appears to be a problem with all packs including the vanilla pack. Each time I try to launch a pack it just takes me back to the main load screen. 

When opening the console to see what is wrong it comes up with:

This looks like a memory issue. How much ram do you have?

Also, verify if you have 64bit Java installed.

​8 gig of ram and I do have 64bit java installed

How much ram is allocated to the launcher? 3GB is recommended.
