Tekkit 3.1.1 Item Conflicts

Houaha

Question

Title: Tekkit 3.1.1 Item Conflicts

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Server is on Windows Server 2008 R2, Client is on Windows 7 Pro. 64bit

Java Version: Java 7 64bit

Description of Problem:

First of all the Tekkit Version is 3.1.1 not 3.0.3/3.0.4 but there was no other option other than 2.1.1(is that supposed to be 3.1.1? typo?)

I Downloaded and extracted the Tekkit server software and launched it with my old map and my plugins(AuthMe, Backup, CreeperHeal, EpicZones, HomeSpawnPlus) and I get errors saying "item slot already occupied by...."

On first glance I do not see anything wrong in-game, I will continue to look though.

On linux machines, they cannot be ignored. The error prevents the server from starting. was forced to backdate to 3.0.4 until a public fix is released.

Stop posting your problem in other people's threads...

As I have told you before this isn't an issue with JUST linux as I have a working server in Ubuntu 12.4 LTS with Java 7u5.

What version of Linux are you using?

Sorry for the spam, but I would like this to get noticed. Im running the server on a debian squeeze machine. the terminal freezes up after the 241 id conflict error.

I can guarantee you that this issue is noticed... mainly because there is about 20 threads on it. Obviously not all problems can be solved in an instance so be patient and stick to your own thread. It isn't just linux in general as you've seen because my ubuntu server 12.4 lts works fine. I do not run a script however I type in the command via terminal.

Shall try typing the command directly.

will openjdk be ok? I had some issues with it and netherores, so I had to go through a long process of doing oracle java.

Wait, I just checked, I'm actually on update 5.

root@minecraft:~# java -version

java version "1.7.0_05"

Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_05-b05)

Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.1-b03, mixed mode)

I don't know why exactly your server isn't starting up on linux Blizzard. As others have said the server was extensively tested on linux (ubuntu and centos). One thing I can assure you of though is that the problem is far deeper rooted than the item conflicts. Like I have said those are normal and are not what is stopping your server.

sct try looking at my log in this topic http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/tekkit-3-1-1-item-conflicts-not-allowing-server-to-start.16645/#post-124395

now tell me it's not an item conflict?

I know you guys have noticed the issue but the lack of response on it is annoying me, sorry..

perhaps make a sticky that you guys have acknowledged it, and are looking for what could be the reason?

regards. gizmo.

The item conflict in the original post of this bug report is completely unrelated to the block 241 item conflict. Two different things.
