Mods Not Loading

OS: Windows 7

Java Version: 6.0.330.5

Description of Problem:

Whenever I try to load up tekkit, none of the mods load, and it seems to be running off of the default minecraft app data

Error Messages:

Delete \tekkit\, download again

And download java 7

Sorry but neither of these solutions worked, any other suggestions?

I can't make my own thread yet so I'm just going to post here. At least you get a bump.

Update to Java 7, and either uninstall or disable your antivirus. One of those two is likely to be your culprit. Oh, and next time read the stickies first.

i have some prob with Forestry mod. it dousnt work. how can i have make it work?

Im having the same problem except it still doesnt work after i disabled norton and my version of java is 7 update 5.

what do i do? plus i cant create new threads...

and i read the stickies, don't see it in there.

also, it appears to download all the mod files when i go on it because i can see it in the .techniclauncher but its just no installing them.
