Need help write my world's last will... technic update

Okay i get it that technic updated and not all the mods are supported. This breaks old saves and my base is never gonna be the same so might as well start over right? Well ive been keeping a journal through the last month or so of minecraft-ing in a writable tome (the purple one from the mod)

Does anyone know where the file is located so i can extract the text? I still have a backup of the world before it was opened by the new launcher but cant seem to find it.

Also is there a way to stop technic from updating? such that the worlds build will not just for naught?
