"Mod select" not working, already checked in the FAQ

Description of Problem:

The "Mod select" button isn't working. I set .cfg and .config files to open with notepad, like the common questions topic says, and it still refuses to work.

Do other modpacks have the same problem? Check yogsbox, voxelbox, tekkit and technic. Note that they do have to be installed.

Yeah, they all do it.

The latest technic pack does not contain the "ModLoader" files required to turn mods "false". Theoretically you should be able to compile your own list in a .cfg file or you could patch back to the latest recomended patch of the technic pack. (6.1.1) Can't give you a quick fix. Best to wait for a patch that fixes that.Or you patch back to last recomended patch and use the save files from the backup.

Well I don't have any save files from backup, this is my first time using these mods, so that should make things easier.
