The_DarthMoogle Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Uhm, There's numerous solutions one can use, but the system administrators at my school are total dick bags, so I've had to go full troll and hack the whole damn system :/ The easiest solution is http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/how-to-install-the-technic-launcher-on-a-usb-drive.6133/ If you want to play Tekkit, hit me up again, and I'll give you a fairly radical and dangerous solution :D
azzaj13402 Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 @The_DarthMoogle can this play smp? and can you please help my technic launcher gets stuck at splash screen
The_DarthMoogle Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I just created this handy guide. But be warned, it's potentially tricky. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/how-to-join-a-minecraft-server-at-school-or-work-windows.17774/
freakachu Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 there are java command line arguments to route java traffic through a proxy. I don't know them off the top of my head but they exist. the trick for using them with technic is to stop the launcher from relaunching itself and clearing your command line stuff. in order to stop this, you have to first create a directory in the .techniclauncher folder called "rtemp", then run the launcher with your desired proxy options.
