when i click on technic launcher it says checking launcher version and goes off

Description of Problem:

i tried downloading 64 bit Java but it doesn't work so i downloaded the same thing but it was 32bit and i still get the same problem what do i do? also the .jar file in the technic folder does the same thing HELP! dont tell me to click my .jar because i dont have one???

Open up windows explorer

type in the bar

/%appdata%/

go to .techniclauncher

and double click the .jar file

i redownloaded technic twice but i still dont have a .jar file? i tried it but it just dissappeared!
