Description of Problem:

Whenever I click on anything in my inventory, my game just kills itself, flashes an error screen for a third of a second, and then goes white until I end process. I have recently installed a 256x256 Tekkit texture pack, but this happens even with the default pack. This happens on both Singleplayer and Multiplayer, click on something in inventory, background screen, error flash, white screen, end process.

This looks like an client error reinstall your client and delete the folder data from %appdata% and do a fresh clean install. Its possible that the launcher has some corrupted parts in so a clean install may fix it.

This only started happening yesterday. I've been using it for a while and this just started happening.

Thats what tends to occur your fine one day then.....bam! it occurs stuff in life happens and there is not normally a lot you can do about it.

Yeah, but that isn't life, it's a game, and games don't suddenly fuck themselves up without provokation

Correct but have you followed what i displayed above? You have to remember that his isn't made by some elite company its made by some cool guys who put together a mod pack its not going to be picture perfect its going to have bugs and errors and at the end of the day things do go wrong.
