Title: Water tanks cause client crashes [3.1.2]

Version: 3.1.1

OS: Windows Vista & 7 clients, Linux server

Java Version: 7

Description of Problem:

I recently built a water tank system for my server, which gets filled from ocean. It worked fine for a few days, but now it crashes every client who looks in the general direction of it.
