What do I do when 1.2 comes out?

I started a Tekkit server about 3 days ago. I was wondering what is the procedure for an update? Do I tell my users to not update or will it just update when it's ready to update? And when do I update the server software?

Considering the Technic Launcher is separate from the .minecraft (I believe) They (Your players) should be able to update to 1.2 and still play Tekkit too.

I'm no expert but as far as I know it won't matter as it won't update the launcher unless the tekkit devs push an update for it. So it'll be ready when it's ready, as far as I know.

The launcher wont update existing players to 1.2 until we release a version for it. New player will have their download 1.2 minecraft.jar downgraded to 1.1 to run the current version..

AKA your users dont have to even worry about it
