Description of Problem:

I hope I am writing in the right topic. My question is, does anyone know of an exploit, that can turn a block in to another? Becouse someone turned all my cobblestone in to sand, and had no right to do so. Grief Prevention was defending the area.

Sounds like the philosopher stone to me, but cobblestone is usually replaced with smooth stone, so it's probably not it. Maybe the mercurial eye?

The Philosopher's stone is the culprit. Ty

It's nothing.

[Torezu]

The Mercurial Eye can also do this, but the Philosopher's stone can only affect certain materials, and its effect is in a cube, whereas the Merc. Eye affects a square on plane with the clicked block. The Philosopher's stone changes blocks into something else - what they change into depends on whether you're holding shift when you right-click or not.
