custom modpack failed to download

so i wanted to create a custom modpack and when i try to install it sais

error downloading a file for the following pack: monkeydognose

failed to download https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ww4sk5yckr4d4u/modpack.zip?dl=0

please consult the modpack author

The link you used is not direct, it should be entered like so:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ww4sk5yckr4d4u/modpack.zip?dl=1

i put in 1 instead of 0 but now it loads vanilla minecraft

opens the zip package, sees a "modpack.zip" file in the bin folder

heh, I wonder why is this happening?

Forge should be renamed to modpack.jar

ok i made a .jar file now it crashes 5 seconds after i click play

You should be one step ahead than this. Read the crash log carefully, I said carefully. Read it again.

What's your conclusion?

I was hoping I could check that modpack out but you gave no api link (I asked for it earlier) so you're on your own.
