XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Hello, I am a mudpack creator when I click play on my mudpack it just sends me back to the title of technic launcher my mudpack name is Mac & Cheese Craft and my technic launcher name is MaxTDG and my minecraft name is XCreeperGangstaX
EvilOwl Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Moving to Platform Pagoda. Post the modpack api link and maybe the crash log (the most obvious part of the information needed)
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) Your modpack.jar is the forge installer, you need to take the forge 1448 Universal and rename that to modpack.jar Edited September 27, 2015 by TerdyTheTerd
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 mudpack url:http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/mac-cheese-craft P.S thankyou TeddyTheTurd my minecraft works now but my mods aren't installing what do I need to make my mods install?
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) The download still didn't contain a proper forge renamed to "modpack.jar" not sure if you just haven't pushed an update or not. You also need to: Download "forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1448-1.7.10-universal.jar" and rename it to "modpack.jar" then replace the one in the bin folder with this new one Rename "[1-7-10]_Lucky_Block_v5-1-0.jar.zip" to "[1-7-10]_Lucky_Block_v5-1-0.jar" Extract the furniture mod from the .zip archive, you currently have a .zip installer in the mods folder Add CodeChickenCore and Cofh Core, they are required Remove TooMuchTnT, it is buggy and crashes, if you really want it then do some research but I won't waste my time trying to get a broken mod working Rename "Ore-Spawn-Mod-1.7.10.zip" to "Ore-Spawn-Mod-1.7.10.jar" (this isn't necessary but it looks a lot nicer than having .zip archives in a mod folder) If you can't view the .zip or .jar extensions google "how to view file extensions for (whatever OS you use)". Following these steps the pack loads and lets me create new worlds. Edited September 27, 2015 by TerdyTheTerd
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Ok mods still not loading I did all the stuff you told me to and still not working! This is so annoying lel.
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Can I get a log file, located at "C:\Users\(User)\AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\mac-cheese-craft\logs\fml-client-latest.log
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Do you want my user?and what do you mean by all of this?
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I want to see what the log file has to say, it might have info as to what is causing your instance not to work versus why my instance works, such as incorrect java versions, not enough memory, extra mod files ect, this "C:\Users......log" is simply the file path where the log files are located.
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 In my logs file there is a 2015-09-27-1.log and a latest note.
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 If you want further help you will need to copy the contents of the log file, put it on something like pastebin and link it here so I can look at it, other wise I really can't help
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 Where is the pastebin sorry I'm not really smart on modpack so ya....:(
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Ok basically last question what do I choose on the pastebin?
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 pastebin.com is a website where you paste text and then link to that page for others to view it, open up the log file, copy all the text, paste it in pastebin.com, hit submit and copy the url at the top and link it here. Honestly its taken you so long to simply link a log file it probably won't do any good as you have probably changed the pack by now, assuming you have changed the pack url to reflect any changes you have made I will retry it and see what happens.
EvilOwl Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 TerdyTheNerd: you should get a medal for this XCreeperGangstaX: there's also paste.ubuntu.com (it can hold much bigger logs)
TerdyTheTerd Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 @XCreeperGangstaX It doesn't look like you have updated the modpack download to reflect changes that you have made. I cannot help you further until that is done, once you have updated let me know so I can test it again
XCreeperGangstaX Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Sorry I couldn't see your replie It wouldn't paste the text into it so I just typed it up
XCreeperGangstaX Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Ok pastebin is a it hard to paste in so can you send me a video or something?
TerdyTheTerd Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I installed the pack again and you either haven't updated the version number on the technic page or you haven't uploaded a new .zip file with all the changes made to it. The version I donwloaded still had the forge installer instead of the forge universal for the "modpack.jar" and a few mods were still misnamed/inside installer archives. - Remake the "modpack.jar" file in the bin folder with forge universal, not forge installer - Extract the furniture mod from the installer archive - Rename "[1-7-10]_Lucky_Block_v5-1-0.jar.zip" to "[1-7-10]_Lucky_Block_v5-1-0.jar" - Add CodeChickenCore, it is a dependency for ChickenChunks and NEI - Add Cofh Core it is required for Thermal Foundation/Expansion -Remove TooMuchTnT After you make these changes you need to make sure you create a new .zip with the mods, config and bin folders, upload that file to whatever service you are using and change the version number on the technic page for the pack.
