Description of Problem:

The first time I opened the tekkit client i noticed that the main menu wasn't making any sounds when clicking on different tabs. I didn't think much of it until i got ingame with my friends and they all had sound but i didn't. I made sure to check my sound setting and turned it to 100% but that changed nothing. Then i checked my volume mixer and tekkit was maxed out. After playing without sound for a few hours i started to get a few small sounds. Mostly the sound of lava bubbles and flowing liquids. Also the damage sound. I began using equivilant exchange and some of the charging sounds worked but nothing more then that. So I'm stuck without almost all sounds (blocks breaking, mob sounds, explosions, what ever sounds industiral craft should make, etc.). I looked around the internet and found nothing but garbage suggestions to make sure my headphones are plugged in and stuff like that. Would really appreciate a fix because im getting a little bored of playing tekkit deaf :-P

Reinstall your client, or copy the sounds from .minecraft's resources folder. Those won't give you the IC2 sounds, of course, but I usually shut those off anyway to prevent brain damage. :)

I have the same error, getting rather annoying now.

At first I could live with without it, but certain things require sounds, like Mobs just appearing in front of me without warning.

The others on the server have sound.

OP - How did you fix it, if you did ??
