0 Joshposh70 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Try placing it 90 degrees of the landmark and see what happens.
0 Darkster819 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 Is there a limit on how big the quarry is?
0 kalereborn Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The max size a quarry can be is 64x64. Right click one of your landmarks and see if a red beam appears. If so, check and see how far that red beam goes and place a landmark ON the block it ends on. Repeat for the other two sides then place the quarry on one of the four corners. Quarry must be touching a landmark or it will not work.
0 Darkster819 Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Can the landmarks be right besiade a wall?
0 pete115 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Seems from trying to use the landmarks that the quarry will only place and use the land, marks to define the size of the quarry area if it is placed beside the FIRST landmark placed, at least seems that way having spent half an hour fiddling to get them to work...

If you see a black beam it means that something is blocking the beam. Once everything is done, set the quarry behind one of the markers, it has to be directly behind the marker Have a nice day!

You only need 3 landmarks, as they triangulate and form a square when you right click all 3 of them. Also, I believe the quarry can be anywhere along the red line not just behind the landmark (disclaimer - im not 100% sure).

I did hear that you could only use 3, but I've never managed to get it to work with 3 :-/ I also tried putting the quarry alone the red lines but it kept ignoring my parameters and kept setting it's own. The reason I suggested the method above was because it has personally worked for me :)
