Friends cant connect [hamachi]

Title: Friends cant connect to tekkit server [hamachi]

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Java Version: 7

Description of Problem:

Says Can't reach server,they have same version launcher,modpack,they are on my hamachi network,they have green dots,i tried turning firewall off...didnt work,server.properties is correct...Idk what to do and i dont know how to port forward...ive watched videos and i still dont get it . Last resort=Watch more videos?

Do they have a firewall or antivirus software? That can cause failures to connect.

When they do this should they just turn the firewall off off, and should i also turn it off?or are there just certain things we could turn on/off? Having no firewall...doesnt seem right :/

Also i succesfully port forwarded,but the ip that the website shows didnt work, so i used my ipv4 adress and i can join, but my friends still cant. Does this mean it is the firewall,and should i really be using the ip it showed on that website? (whatismyip.com)

Starting to think tekkit isn't worth all this work...3 days straight of fiddling...Not tryin to sound like a little whining kid or anything but seriously
