Title: Engine's not connecting to pump

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Window's 7

Java Version: 7

Description of Problem:

I'm playing Tekkit SP (Yes, SP because i don't like all the other mod's like mo'creatures) and i make a pump the buildcraft way. Tank on top of a mining well, but every time i try to place a pump on it (I've tried redstone, steam and combustion) it doesn't connect to the pump.

Doesn't connect how? Is it facing the wrong way when you place it (in which case try using a wrench) or something else? What if you try and connect it with conductive pipes instead?

Also, SMP Tekkit doesn't have mo'creatures

I think he was saying he plays Tekkit SSP instead of Technic to reduce the number of mods there are to mess with.

Anyway, OP: pictures would be very helpful. Engines go on the side of a pump, then get a redstone signal, coal/charcoal/whatever, or oil/fuel, with a redstone signal being needed for the bigger ones as well. The pump then needs a waterproof pipe going from it to a tank. Do you have all that?

...the pump is coming out an industrialcraft pump when i craft it the buildcraft way.

Then you have a block ID error or a crazy custom recipe. Mind posting pictures?
