Question

I've been searching for hours how to fix this, and all the answers say to downgrade to java 7, something which I cannot do at this time with this current computer. It was working yesterday, and nothing has changed about my computer. :/ Help would be appreciated, I'm not sure if anything else important is needed, but please let me know if there is. Please do not suggest downgrading my java, as I can't do that because this is a computer given to me by my school so I can't upgrade or downgrade anything.

My operating system is Windows 10, and my Java version is 8 (update 60), aka the latest.

If you searched for hours you should know from other topics here how to upload logs to paste.ubuntu.com, post the link after that

Is %appdata%/.technic/logs really empty?

If it is there were some reports where the launcher just had to download an update and you need to give it some time. leave it for 10 minutes and check then.

If the system is holding it down you can try to run it as administrator and watch the taskbar for any popping questions about running it.

The only log in there is from yesterday, and I've tried running it as an administrator and waiting, but nothing.

And besides, if it were an update, wouldn't it at least appear somewhere in task manager while it updates?

If everything fails you need to reinstall java. Uninstall it, restart your pc, download it and install again. Restart pc again.
