cannot open technic launcher

Java Version: java 7

Description of Problem:

I have downloaded the launcher but when i try to open it, it opens a loading screen for about a second saying "Checking launcher version" and then it closes.

You may have a incorrect bit version of Java, if you have a 64-bit system, uninstall the old Java and download the 64-version of Java.

i uninstalled java 6, then downloaded java 7 for a 64 bit system and it still did this

Then Try go to your launcher folder and try to run the .jar in there.

sorry im not good with computers, could you explain how i do that, right now i have a file called techniclauncher.exe

First, find the launcher folder.

Windows: C:\Users\"User Name"\%AppData%\Roaming\.techniclauncher

There should be a .jar file, open with Java.
