Have only 64 bit Java, cannot allocate more than 1 GB RAM

Question

Posted (edited)

To start off with, I have uninstalled and reinstalled 64 bit java multiple times, and it is definitely the only java I have. I have a 64 bit operating system and 6 GB of RAM. Yet despite all of this I cannot even see any options above 1GB when selecting memory. Any help would be supremely appreciated!

Sorry this took so long:

(This is the bottom ~10000 lines as trying to paste any more crashed ubuntu. Let me know if you need more)

I'll update with the extra information tomorrow as soon as I can.

You obviously did some searching on that issue so you should know a log will get it all sort out. Get your latest launcher log and post its contents on paste.ubuntu.com.

No obvious errors in there (or I can't see any).

Can you show me the launchers java settings page with the ram selection opened? Like a screenshot uploaded to imgur.com

Can you hit Win + R, type dxdiag there, hit Enter, make a screenshot and upload it to imgur or a similar site?

Last test, can you try to install and run Tekkit Legends and post a new log? Newer Forge versions report more things to the logs, maybe I'll spot something there.
