Corrupted maps are gone for good, if you back-up trying going one after another until it can load.

So there is no way to recover it? What if I use Chunckster? Also how can I avoid my maps getting corrupted again?

Chunkster is a last ditch effort, use at your own risk type of thing. Make a back-up every 4,8,12 hours and if you have a good host they should be able set-up deletion of your server maps every time they get over 1 week old.

I "fixed" the problem. I saw in the error messages it mentioned Wireless Redstone so I removed all the Wireless Redstone mods from my mods folder and the map worked fine, although the next step, how do I remove all Wireless Redstone stuff from the world? as when I put the mods back in it does not load the map.

You could try using MCEdit if you know where the items are, and targeting those specific item/block IDs, and you could try doing a complete server files reinstall (saving the map and the bag/tablet info) - this is less likely to work. Otherwise, either loading a backup or leaving Wireless Redstone gone from the world are really your only options.

Is there no program that scans the world and deletes certain block ids? I have no idea where the blocks are.

Backups are not a option.

And so now I can never have Wireless redstone again?

It would be a third-party program, such as MCEdit, and you would have to learn how to use it to remove certain block IDs. I believe it's possible. Unless you remove the blocks, though, no, you will not be able to use wireless redstone on that world again.

Ok so, I have no idea how to do that, I have used MCEdit before but only to make massive things, I have no idea how to remove certain block ids. If I did manage to remove all Wireless redstone blocks could I use the mod again?

I would assume you could, but I've never run into an issue like this personally, so take that with a grain of salt.

Actually, its a bit mind bending and I don't know how it works but you can recover the map. Simply move the map folder to a different location like your desktop and let the server regen the world. After that is done put your region files back into the world's folder and voila! It's fixed. My server's map has done this a few times already and that's how I fix it.

O_O I will try it soon and get back to you on it
