First off, I apologize ahead of time if this thread is in the wrong area.

I'm very new to Tekkit (I just downloaded it 2 days ago). I've been trying everything possible to get my mods to load and everything I try has no effect.

I have Java 7 version 1.7.0_06 both 32 and 64-bit installed on a Windows 7 64-bit OS.

I also have the latest Tekkit Server (3.1.2) file.

I downloaded the Technic Launcher and selected Tekkit and ran it. It updated and downloaded everything it needed (as far as I know).

I downloaded and unzipped the Tekkit_Server (3.1.2) file to it's own folder as well, and started the launch.bat file. Then I clicked on the Tekkit.jar file in the folder and it would never pop up with a window, it did show up in the processes as javaw.exe in the Task Manager, though.

I have multiple Zipped files in both my .techniclauncher\cache & .techniclauncher\cache\mods, as well as my .techniclauncher\tekkit\mods folders. I tried unzipping a couple files in both to see if they just all needed to be un-zipped and running it using the launcher, but that didn't help either.

Any help?

launch.bat launches the server you should not have to click on the tekkit.jar.

so no command window pops up? anything in log/error server side?

dont unzip files in the "mods" folder in both client and server... they need to be ziped.

are you also haveing a problem with your client ? im not sure with your post.

just delete that server, redownload. extract the zip to its own file and launch the server. if that doesnt work ... meh

make sure in the launcher options to have latest rec build, if you had any extra mods, they might have been removed so you might have to reinstall them.
