I Can't connect to a serfer

Title: I Can't connect to a server

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Windows Xp professional

Java Version: java 7 runtime

Description of Problem:

i lose connection when i try to join

Error Messages:

Connection Lost

Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

do you know what version the server is running that you are trying to connect to? you didnt specify if it was your server or not.

it is not my server and they are running the rec. build like i am. and they are running 3.1.2

Hmm have you logged onto this server successfully in the past? Reason i ask is because besides a version mismatch, there could be something in the actual world at the location your character last was that is not letting you log on....

If you have been on, see if the server admins can back up your character data and delete it..if you can log in then (would be at spawn) then there is something either at your last location, or with the character data that is causing it....

Are you having this issue with any other server? (if you have tried any others )

If you havent logged into it before, then there may be something else going on....

No, I havn't logged into before and I do have the same problem with other servers.

I would like to post a side note: It shows connection being 3 bars and the server description. Unlike all the other servers that say connectionerror.
