Can't install technic launcher!!

Antivirus Program: Avast

Description of Problem:

Whenever I run the technic launcher installer it stops me saying "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately, the system cannot find the file specified" and gives me the option to continue or quit. When I click continue another rectangular window pops up saying "Checking launcher version" which never changes and I have to close it.

Go to %appdata% > .techniclauncher and then click the techniclauncher jar, that always works for me when this happens.

I made a .bat with this: "java -jar technic-launcher.jar" and then, it works!

i think you have to install java 1.6 too. after renaming my java 1.6. folder (for testing) i had the same problem. but Raptor91s hint just works fine.

this is not an answer.

this is simply a link to a lot of nothing.

If there is an answer at this link, be an adult and describes a path that must be followed to find it. Or give the exact link to the exact spot.

If I Cannot get this to work shortly here. I will never bother again.
