Launcher not able to allocate more than 1.5GB of RAM

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Win7 Home pro. 16GB RAM, i7 Intel processor, great vid card, etc.

Java Version: Java7 ver6

Antivirus Program: N/A

Description of Problem:

Basically, the short covers it. I have three options for RAM, .5, 1, 1.5GB of RAM for the latest Technic Pack. (haven't checked anything but that, but that's the one I want)

Normally, I run with 4GB to make sure I can run without sudden crashes, sometimes 10GB when I go really crazy... (I go nuts with nukes and such sometimes. 1.5GB is not enough for that much fun.)

Make sure you are using 64bit java. if you have the 32, it will only let you allocate that much, and can cause other issues down the road.

edit: and I'm assuming you have a 64-bit OS if you have that much memory...if not...then no comment :P

Ah! You were correct! And here I thought I had everything right. xP My bad. I did have the latest, but that was 32 bit. Oops.

Haha it usually is the little things that cause the big issues

Just go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html (direct from the technicpack.net page) and grab the latest 64bit :)
