Title: Some kind of memory/lag leak issue?

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Windows Vista x64

Java Version: Version 7u5(x32 and x64)

Description of Problem:

I think Tekkit may have a pretty big bug here.

I'm having trouble with my server, which is good enough to run Tekkit without lag. The server is not only using ridiculous amounts of RAM but it giving awful 'tick lag' to all of the connected clients, reducing the FPS to 1 or less a second. The minecraft lagometer just shows incredible amounts of white on the debug screen.

The map that I'm running is only 30MB in size, but the server still uses over 1.3 GB of RAM when no clients are connected at all.

The console is then filled with error messages saying the server is overloaded.

My server specs are as follows:

Windows Vista x64

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz

4GB RAM

This should be well enough to run a server for my friends, which is 4 at the most.

The leak fixes itself if the server is left on, but it happens randomly and I simply cannot find a reason for it to start eating so much of my server.

Thanks,

Gergy

Seems to be a HUGE issue with the jar included in 3.1.2.

Try checking out this thread:

I can tell from experience that the default 3.1.2 jar file sucks horribly. Don't know what's wrong with it, but it just plain sucks.

CB++ works very well, but I kept encountering random errors.

Installed CB-- (Spigot) and it has been running beautifully 48 hours with no issues whatsoever.
