Launcher can't find java directory

Java Version: idk! The latest!

Description of Problem:

When I use the launcher, a small window pops up saying, "launcher cannot find java directory". The title screen does not appear

The Java version is Java 6 :)

Is your operating system 32bit, or 64bit? the latest version of java is 7u6, so i would recommend uninstalling your current version, and installing the latest version...you wanna make sure though, that if you do have 64bit, you get the 64bit java, or you will have the same issues.

also, if you run into issues downloading the modpacks when the launcher does start working, disable norton while you run the launcher...it is known to interfere.

Please dont hijack other peoples threads, especially 2 minutes after creating a thread of your own.

Read the common problem thread, as the mod suggested on your other post that was warned on...

I get an error that says "Can't find JAVA directory".

The cause and solution to this problem is the same as the problem directly above this one. You're

most likely using the incorrect bit version of JAVA, or it isn't up to date. Find out if you need the

64 bit version of JAVA and then go to www.technicpack.net and use the JAVA download links.
