Getting marked AFK when not AFK

Just migrated from a Local server that my players were connecting to, to one hosted on an actual server.

I have the standard Tekkit Server software running and then I dropped the Essentials pack on there.

As the title suggests, my players and I are getting marked AFK when we are not actually AFK. What makes it worse is its not clearing the AFK status for any reason, and then it boots the player.

My google search returned no real results that were even close to this, so I turn to you all.

any thoughts or suggestions?

Try using Essentials for 1.2.5r4 rather than 1.3.2r0.1, this worked for me.

Its adding a [m to my username as well, which is bizarre

Also, its treating this as a whole new "player" on the server, and is asking for new permissions and everything

Changed the Config.yml for Essentials to -1 for the AFK timeout, this also didn't change anything

The problem is likely your AFK booter (frown face for running Essentials). Chat events and whatnot are probably not being passed to the booter, so it still thinks you're AFK. I would disable that option and try AFK Manager (still works on 1.2.5 - no deprecated chat events yet!).

Fixed it, apparently it was a really bad install

That being the case I have no idea how we were still able to play, but yea, there it is

Use a version of Essentials that is for 1.2.5

I use this version - http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/essentials/files/150-essentials-2-9-2/

The most recent release has worked for my server. It still AFKs me for some reason, but so far everyone else is treated properly.
