Different ore stone colours?

Hey guys really love the Technic launcher and all it offers, but i have run into some minor problems that i constantly notice and they nag me. One of which is the colour of the stone around the ores. It seems lighter than the others. This only occurs with the tekkit ores. The second problem is that there are the small particles just to the side of a tool/item that comes with the tekkit mod. Not sure what the problems are but any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You can very barely see the second problem so look closely or resize the image. I put the two other links just incase the first didnt work.

mh that seams to be a problem with your texture pack and/or the lighting.

i use the sphax texture pack too, but never noticed that ore background is different from normal stone.

what you can do is check what setting the smooth lighting bar is on.

i beleive its a problem with the texture pack or the entire tekkit mod of mine, when i play tecnic ssp the ores are fine but when i play smp it is just like the screenshots. ill go and check the lighting and whatnot. It could well be the settings though.

That's absolutely your texture pack. You have a dark stone texture installed for your smoothestone texture, but a light stone texture installed for your ores.
