Doesn't go further after version check [solved]

Launcher Version: latest(4 sept 2012)

Operating System: Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit

Java Version: Java 7u6 64 bit

Antivirus Program: Microsoft Security essentials

Description of Problem:

It closes after showing the version check, it doesn't give a error message. I tried let it redownload several times. I created a exeption in windows firewall. But it doesn't work. It also seems like it doesn't have downloaded the mods.

there wasn't a logs folder in the .techniclauncher folder

Just go to .techniclauncher folder, and make a bat with "java -jar technic-launcher.jar" in it. Worked for me. :)

I solved my problem by removing AVG and downloading avast instead as protection, i aslo downloaded CCleaner to clean my computer its very good! [sOLVED]

That's great, but OP doesn't have AVG they have MSE.

Quite a big difference.

I have the same problem I has the updated .NET framework but its not working. PLEASE HELP ME I love tekkit but cannot play it! :(
