I have downloaded and re-downloaded tekkit smp server.

Info:

Windows 7

Java 7

Tekkit (latest on site)

In short server runs, no errors, issues etc, but comes to the port 25565. It will not open with tekkit.

Minecraft server same port or any, opens and runs, can have freinds connect to it no prob, from behind router, i can take router out and going straight from modem, all good, etc.

Tekkit, runs, but cannot connect from behind router, plug into modem, works.

Tekkit will NOT allow that port to be open. I have tried a range of ports nothing. local host works every time, as does external ip address from modem.

Router is good, works great, host reg minecraft server no issues, form behind router or no router.

I just simply dont get it.

I have tried 25565, 25576, etc and so forth. Its driving me batty.

Tried on pc with win xp, same deal, tekkit will not allow connections.

Isp doesnt block any of my ports or bandwidth. have used port checker, all ports open.

yet tekkit smp server refuses connections when behind a router.

WHY!?!?!?!?

i would LOVE to point out this fact.

multiplayer server hence localhost will NOT allow outside users to connect. ( yes i can connect to local host fine in any manner cause its on my local machine. for those that are having trouble keeping up -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Localhost)

to sum up in short:

regular minecraft server - runs fine with or without router, connects thro external ip - freinds can connect and play. ( localhost works for me, not for others)

Tekkit multiplayer server - runs fine but have to remove router, get new ip and new port every time it runs- freinds cannot connect via external ip

( localhost works for me, not for others)

its refuses connections to outside sources, ie the ports

Isp is not blocking anything, nor is modem, nor router, nor pc, nor the os, or the guys who coded said os. (its win 7)

Your internal and/or external IP is not Static and/or you have not port forward correctly.

Internal/External Ip is static, and ports are forwarded correctly, cause , now i may have mentioned this, regular minecraft smp server runs FINE, and this too, players can connect fine to ip address.

yet with not changing anything hardware, software, or doing a dance for the dns gods, run a tekkit smp server, it will not allow outside connections.

To sum up yet again for the newbie, port forwarding only works with router, so if i remove said router, omg still doesnt work.

your next reply is, anti-virus and firewall,, BUT i have you beat there, cause guess what DONT HAVE ANY. Oh your other reply will say its my pc, well guess what me bucko?

i tried this on 3 different pcs, and so has several of my friends, all same result. so for them to duplicate the exact issue im having, with there pc's and network, and 3 different isps... hmmmmmmm starting to wonder here.

( yes we tried hamachi too, no dice.)

You obviously know what you are doing and don't need my help at all.

nether does this forum form the looks of your posts. your as vague as it gets, you basically post boosting, and anyone can get same answers you give off google, least there they get content.

your help is utterly useless, and pointless.

Its like if there was a fire and someone asked you how to put it out, you would say " no oxygen" and wander off picking your nose......
