Launcher Version: 7.2.7

Operating System: Dell Inspiron i3 4gigs of ram, 2.67 GHz 64 bit

Java Version: jre7

Antivirus Program: Malwarebytes, CCleaner, and AVG free version.

Description of Problem:

I try to open technic launcher, it opens, shows "Checking Launcher Version".

It shows the logo when it's opening and just stays there... To get it to go away

I have to log off and log back on...

You should just stick to MBAM, AVG is blocking your downloads.

If you want something to protect internet browsing, I really recommend Avast!

He did. If you had searched this topic, or read the "common problems and solutions" post, you would know that AVG has been a problem since the first day we used the launcher.

Remove all your AV's and install avast. That will fix all your problums.

Officially, my suggestion is to try going to your .techniclauncher folder and running the .jar, knowing that your parents shitty choice in antivirus may very well be preventing you from playing.

Unofficially, my suggestion is to remove it anyway, and then reinstall it after you've got technic working.

first of all, ive tried the .jar. second of all, I guess ill try uninstalling it...

Try this:

go to .techniclauncher folder, and make a bat with "java -jar technic-launcher.jar" in it.

i used the " " and tried, just popped up and closed right away. then i took away the " ", it did the same thing...

Okay, try redownloading everything from scratch. Delete the whole .techniclauncher folder, and redownload the .jar version from the website.
