0 The_DarthMoogle Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 You should just stick to MBAM, AVG is blocking your downloads. If you want something to protect internet browsing, I really recommend Avast!
0 headlesshippo093 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 could you stick to the topic of the launcher not working properly?
0 arctichenry Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 He just answered your question, smart one.
0 Jay? Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 could you stick to the topic of the launcher not working properly? He did. If you had searched this topic, or read the "common problems and solutions" post, you would know that AVG has been a problem since the first day we used the launcher.
0 headlesshippo093 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 ok guys i get i shouldnt be using that but what other reasons are there?
0 arctichenry Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 THAT IS THE DAMN REASON. Pardon my rageing, but I have had it with people who dont read the stickys.

0 arctichenry Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Remove all your AV's and install avast. That will fix all your problums.
0 Jay? Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Remove all your AV's and install avast. That will fix all your problums. PROBABLY. That will PROBABLY fix your problem. There is still the chance that there is another problem, but lets start with the common solutions, please.
0 headlesshippo093 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 lol im not allowed to remove them "parents said" so any other suggestions?
0 Jay? Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 lol im not allowed to remove them "parents said" so any other suggestions? Officially, my suggestion is to try going to your .techniclauncher folder and running the .jar, knowing that your parents shitty choice in antivirus may very well be preventing you from playing. Unofficially, my suggestion is to remove it anyway, and then reinstall it after you've got technic working.
0 headlesshippo093 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 first of all, ive tried the .jar. second of all, I guess ill try uninstalling it...
0 headlesshippo093 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 ok I uninstalled AVG and tried it, it still didnt work... so im reinstalling it
0 Jay? Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Try this: go to .techniclauncher folder, and make a bat with "java -jar technic-launcher.jar" in it.
0 headlesshippo093 Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 i used the " " and tried, just popped up and closed right away. then i took away the " ", it did the same thing...
0 Jay? Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Okay, try redownloading everything from scratch. Delete the whole .techniclauncher folder, and redownload the .jar version from the website.
