My saves vanished!

Description of Problem:

When I play a bit of Tekkit and then close it, I have to back my saves and texture packs and delete the tekkit folder. I've grown used to that, so that's not the problem.

The problem is, when I was reinstalling Tekkit and putting my saves and TPs back into the folder, I accidentally put the saves into the temp folder, and when I accidentally ran Tekkit, the folder emptied out and it's not in my Recycle Bin, too.

I doubt that this would be classified as a bug, but I couldn't find a better category. Please help and tell me what happened!

I'd imagine the 'temporary' files were deleted when it normally empties that folder. Since they're temporary they weren't sent to the recycle bin, they're directly deleted. There'd likely be too many overwritten sectors in the world file for it to be resurrected with tools so it's gone, sorry.
