Description of Problem:

When I spawned a solar helmet tekkit just said "Saving Chunks" and got a white screen and no log generated and when I restarted tekkit and loaded the world, it did same thing!

Saving chunks is a failsafe when it crashes. You can restore your world most likely by using INVedit or NBTedit to find the solar helmet item in your inventory and removing it.

Always make backups before making changes.
