Launcher Will Not Open. Stuck At Logo

Launcher Version: Newest

Operating System: Windows 8 Enterprise

Java Version: Jru 7u7

Antivirus Program: Sophos

Description of Problem:

I open the launcher by double-clicking it on my desktop, it downloads the launcher, and then the logo pops up... then stays up until I end the process.

Nevermind. If anybody has had this problem, downgrade your java to java 6. I highly recommend the ops and whatnot put this on the common problems and fixes.
