Technick pack allocate problem

Description of Problem:

Hi,When i set in my technick launcher to allocate 1Gb or 1536mb it gives to game only 243mb,and if i set 512mb it give 494,but it is laggy,anyone can help?

Does your computer have that much RAM? You cannot allocate what you do not have.

I have 2 gb ram plus nearly 4gb from swap,and system takes 600mb from ram.

How many slots do you have? Last I knew, xp will only take up to 2gb per stick. And what is this 4gb from swap, I've never heard of that

I have 1slot whit ddr3 2gb ram second is empty,and 4gb gived from hard disk memory to virtual memory
