You have to either charge an energy storage device (energy crystals or lapotrons) then ender chest/carry it, or fill/move lava cells yourself. Ender chests only allow you to move things when you load the other dimension, as well, because unlike SMP you can't have more than 1 dimension loaded at once. Quote
