Trekkx Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 So we have this setup. MFSU powered by two Geothermal Generators. Goes through glass fibre cables out of the MFSU output, through a MV transformer, then out of that with a gold cable, then into an LV transformer, out with copper cable & into all of our appliances. However our appliances aren't powered. The MFSU just won't power them. Here is a video showing the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1d2-j9iyBFE&feature=youtu.be Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Jakemurt Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 You will first need an HV transformer first surely before going into the MV transformer? Quote
Trekkx Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 You will first need an HV transformer first surely before going into the MV transformer? I believe a HV transformer is used to turn EX into HV. The MFSU emits HValready, so only needs to be stopped down to MV then LV. Quote
Jakemurt Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Okay i understand, hmmmm i have no idea, try just using glass fibre cable? Quote

saintnicster Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 When connecting to the transformers, the 3dotted side is for the higher of the two voltages. I think your LV is backwards, maybe the MV, too EDIT - rewatched the video, and yes, both are backwards Quote
