The_DarthMoogle Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I'd cut back on the RAM to 16GB, meaning you can also just get Windows 7 Home Premium, (Only Ultimate works with more than 16GB) and invest in a GTX570. Although you can link two graphics cards together, the 570 alone is affordable and massively more powerful than your current option. EDIT : Just realised your current motherboard doesn't accept the two 470's anyway.

Sacrieur Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Radeon 7970 isn't very powerful compared to your processor. Forget about LGA 1366, it's discontinued. Go for LGA 2011 and get a sandy bridge extreme edition CPU, make sure you have two PCI-E slots with plenty of space. GTX 670 should do nicely (although two would be better). Although if you can spend that much on a CPU you may be able to just get a GTX 690 and a motherboard with just one pci-e slot (but you'll need a lot of space). RAM is going to need to operate at 1600MHz, since we're going for a high profile build. Just make sure your case is full-sized to accommodate everything. And skip out on the corsair PSU and opt for a Seasonic X650 or X750 PLUS GOLD.

Sacrieur Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 For multiple monitors running games on max settings with high resolution you'll need two GTX 690s, at least. Depending on the number of monitors.
