So what do you all think is the bigger waste of money (using USD here was sent to me by an american friend) so overkill it would explode http://pcpartpicker.com/p/iwIN or such a bad PC it would explode on boot http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ivuc (NOTE those HDD's would be in raid 0) id say the horrible one was more of a waste I imagine most of you would say the same just curious

  11. Just wanted to hear some thoughts on my new gaming build: CPU--Intel i7 3770 (not going to OC £20 saving over the K) Mobo--Asus P8Z77 V-Pro RAM--Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengenace 16GB 1600Mhz PSU--Seasonic SS-650RM 650W Modular GPU--Palit GeForce GTX 680 Jetstream (2GB GDDR5) HDD--Seagate ST31000524AS 3.5 inch Barracuda 1TB GB 7200rpm SATA Drive with 32MB Buffer Case--NZXT Phantom full tower (probably Black if your interested) OS--Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Optical Drive--Samsung SH-222BB Peripherals: Logitech G510 Keyboard NZXT Avatar S Mouse Samsung S19A100N 18.5 inch Widescreen LED Monitor Ill be doing a fair amount of rendering and video editing and want a future proof gaming build hence the overkill parts I know this is about the 4th thread but this is by far the most revised and the best (I think) and I cant post in the rest without double postng
  12. Same error here only seems to be certain items though e.g. I can look at the recipe for a clay block but not a generator??
  13. well with the economy in its current state............
  14. most of us wanted to remain ignorant to that while knowing its silently almost true
  15. not what he wants to do he wants a single server from multiple PC's he can do that buts its not worth the effort if you already have them sell them and build a single server
  16. might go 2 at some point its singe at the moment that was just to see what the best they had to offer I wont be running everything on max high yes like I said unless I can hunt down a cheaper GTX690 £800 cant be worth it when you could get 4 GTX670's for that EDIT hunted down a GTX680 for a good price about equal with the radeon if not slightly better according to this http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/508?vs=555
  17. so i7 sandybridge extreme edition about the same price as the older one thanks for the suggestion can get an asus sabertooth x79 for just a little more than the x58 the seasonic X750 is probably the biggest price increase about £70 but it is gold certified and im sure I can get it cheaper probably skip out the GTX 690 its about £800 (about £50 more than the CPU) had a look on AMD and it came up with the 7970 when I said mega tasking on multiple monitors playing ultra high res games so id guess thats the best they can offer and GTX 670 is probably about my limit on nvidia will look for faster RAM EDIT RAM's looking like either a pair of G-Skill 8GBXL Ripjaws X DDR3 or Komputerbay 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz DIMM with Black Low Profile Heatspreaders
  18. oh yeah damn forgot I swapped the mobo from the other one forgot about that with the ram too damn thats less than half the price and thanks for the GPU

  20. depends on what you want can get a set of logitech s120's for £10 or EDIFIER Aurora MP300's for £49.99 or Creative Gigaworks T20's for some where between £45 and £51 (probably the best of this lot only thing is the blue LED gets really annoying)
  21. Could just spend on one better PC you could get 10 times as powerful for the same as buying 6
