Launcher wont load

Antivirus Program: Norton 360

Description of Problem:

I will open the launcher application, it checks for the updates, then shows the Technic Launcher loading splash. Then it just stays like that forever. I cant close it, interact with it, or get rid of it. Wont show up at all on the task manager, and to remove it I have to restart my computer.

Your firewall seems to not be allowing the launcher to download the files it needs. This is in the common problems thread so you should have already tried disabling your firewall to start the launcher. Did you?

Also, the technic launcher shows up in your task manager as "java.exe". You can kill that process to get rid of the stuck loading screen.
