Launcher won't launch

Description of Problem:

Launcher error message comes up and then offers to continue or quit. Continuing freezes at "Checking Launcher Version" and quit just quits. I can't delete the program because it is "being used in another process". Redownloading the launcher does nothing. I tried restarting my computer, and nothing.

Error Messages:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

The process cannot access the file

'C:\Users\A******n\AppData\Roaming\.technic-launcher.jar' because it is being used by another process.

You're either starting the launcher twice, and it's trying to update on top of itself, or your virus scanner is being overzealous and stomping on the launcher. Fix one of those and it should work for you.

Didn't work. Anyone else that can help?

[half-fixed] I found a way around it. Just an annoying way. I read in another post that if you open the .jar with java it will work So I did it and it does. It's just a long way
