Description of Problem:

I have had this problem at different points when trying to power machines. I put up my server with electricity transmitting fine then after using solar electricity for awhile it just stopped powering all my furnaces. I replaced all the coppor cables that were running to my furnaces from my batbox that was being powered by the solar panels with insulated HV cables. It worked fine. Then It just randomly stopped working again. The Batbox was full but the furnaces would not take any power. I decided to just destroy it. I then made some water mills which did the same powered my Batbox to furnace system fine, then once again randomly the Batbox stopped emitting power and the furnaces stopped cooking. I replaced the HV cables that I had used this time with Glass-fibre cables and once again they worked fine. For a short period. I once again abolished the idea and went to just using batteries which worked fine. I eventually grew tired of this and wanted some more automation so I went to the nether and built an automated geothermal power system. The Geothermal generator went through a Batbox-MFU-LV Transformer - Multiple machines. All the machines worked for a short period then all of a sudden they stopped once again. When I replaced the cables this time nothing changed. I started to just go back to using Batteries or Lap-packs at this time. After awhile though that stopped working and I had to resort to RE-Batteries. After a VERY short time those stopped working as well. I don't understand what is going on and can find absolutely nothing on the internet. No one else on my server can get this working for them either. Can anyone help?

The batteries are working all of a sudden again but the power will still not go through the cables to the machines more than once.

There is the occasional glitch with IC2 where the transformers will stop outputting correctly. The workaround is to break and replace the cables connecting to it.

That could explain the last case but still not the other ones. I destroyed the cables multiple times though so I don't believe this is the reason why the power is not outputting all of a sudden.

Just acquired Glass-fibre cables and it is working but that still doesn't tell me what was the problem. Will update if they randomly stop working aswell.

Now everything is working except for my mass fabricator. This is getting really stupid.

Edit: I moved it by one block and it started working again.

Thanks for answering my posts saintnicster but I do not think that is the case as my Induction furnace, Rotary Macerator and Singularity compressor are all further away. I will try to post up a screenshot.

The machines are being powered at the moment I just puloaded these to show you that the Mass Fabricator had to be moved one block away. It is also to show that the cables could not get the chance to lose a large amount of EU before getting to the machines thus the EU loss on the cables is not expected to be a problem even though only glass-fibre is working.

I was having this problem when i was using batboxes if you are still needing a fix make sure you have no batboxes. it worked for me but idk if it will for you
