Updating to Buildcraft 3

How can I manually update Buildcraft to 3.1.6?

Would be a bit of a pain, Im not sure but i think it runs off a diffrence forge version so you would need to re-do the whole minecraft.jar

Ok, but question is, is forge the only part of modpack.jar? I don't to damage anything.

Not quite sure what you mean there, Forge is the only jar mod youd need to edit, but because of the order in which you add mods you would mneed to re-do the whole jar

I meant that was forge the only part of modpack.jar, but it seems like there's more. D:
