Tekkit 1.2.9 Keybindings?

I was initially playing Tekkit Legends but quickly found that I should probably just play the main Tekkit release, but in making the switch, I'm missing most of the configurability in my keybinds.

 

Is this a result of Tekkit Legends running on 1.7.10 vs Tekkit's 1.6.4? Is there a client-side mod that I can load and get more keybinds? I'm mostly looking to bind the item slots to my mouse buttons.

If the binds cannot be changed in the configuration menu then your best bet is making a Tekkit profile on your mouse/keyboard and changing for example 1,2,3,4.. to mouse button nr.1, nr.2, and so on. Good luck!

Anyone know of a way to do it through config files or through mods or any other method? I'm looking to do it through Technic/Minecraft only, specifically for Tekkit.

 

I'm currently doing what Gomo suggested (Logitech G502) and would much prefer not to do it that way.
