pumpkinpie5 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I have been trying to make a tekkit server for a while. I finally got it to work by running Tekkit.jar and doing "localhost" as the IP. But I have two problems. One: I can't break blocks. I tried messing with the permissions but I still can't. It isn't server lag because I am smoothly other then that problem. Two: When I open launch.bat, it says: 'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Therefore not letting me easily op and ban people. Are there any fixes for both of these problems? Quote
Krizby Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 It sounds like java.exe isn't in your PATH. What that means is when you try to run launch.bat then it looks first in your PATH to find java.exe but it can't find it. To fix it you must add the java.exe folder to PATH by following these instructions: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml On Windows 7 64-bit that means this folder: C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin That should fix the block breaking. If it doesn't fix it, remove any permissions plugins and restart the server, then move away from the spawn and try breaking blocks. There is a spawn protection if you aren't op. If that works then install a permissions plugin and configure it correctly. Quote
pumpkinpie5 Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Yes! Thank you so freaking much... I had a feeling that I messed up the path, I just couldn't find the correct fix. The final problem I have is with connecting with my sisters tekkit server. It always says: "connection timed out: connect" whenever I try to join it. Do I need hamachi? Quote
